Tutoring

The Columbia College Academic Achievement Center (AAC) serves the entire Columbia College student body. Our primary goal is to assist students in becoming more independent, efficient, and effective learners. We are here to help students improve their academic skills and aid in their academic success. The AAC employs trained peer tutors who have excelled in the classes they tutor and have been recommended by Columbia College faculty. AAC tutors were once in your place and can help you learn strategies to succeed.

Students can make any type of appointment with an AAC tutor by doing the following:

  1. Stop by in-person (Tamarack, 2nd floor of the library)
  2. Call 209-588-5088
  3. Email  ccaac@yosemite.edu Please include subject(s) to be tutored, your availability, and if there is a particular tutor you would like to work with. (Please allow 24 hour response time.)

AAC No-Show Policy: Failure to cancel an appointment at least two hours before the appointment or arriving more than ten minutes late to an appointment is considered a "No-Show." Two No-Shows will result in the loss of tutoring privileges for the semester. Please note: Early morning appointments must still be canceled with two hours' notice to avoid a No-Show. Call 209-588-5088 to leave a message.
