Notice: EOC services, hosted by Columbia College, have been canceled due to canceled
federal funding from the Department of Education
All EOC Partner agencies and current EOC participants were notified of this abrupt
cancelation of prior-approved federal funds as of 9/24/25. All attempts to refer out
to other agencies or services have been made.
We are deeply saddened to end 10 years of highly effective and efficient EOC services
throughout our five-county community so suddenly. Columbia College, as the host institution
for this EOC grant that served anyone seeking access to any higher education option,
is still committed to the prior EOC grant's mission of assisting everyone in our entire
community 'engage, discover, connect'.
The stark reality is that without this federally-funding, and the authority that came
with it to serve non-Columbia College seeking students, the amazing staff the grant
funded will be reallocated to other CC-specific departments. EOC will not be able
to travel to over 50 different on-site physical locations we served in the past decade
to help uplift the entire community, regardless if they attended Columbia College
or not.
Columbia College is very committed to serving all community members seeking high education,
we encourage all those curious about their post-secondary options to connect with
Columbia College Admissions, Outreach, and Counseling departments (add the links for
each of those) to start your higher education inquiries! Even if CC is not your ultimate
destination, we can you help begin with expertise and friendly encouragement for all!
