Trainings in Suicide Prevention and Awareness
Living Works offers START --affordable online (1.5 hour self-paced) training for Suicide Awareness and Prevention
SafeTALK Free trainings on campus will resume after Covid restrictions are lifted
SafeTALK is a half-day training program that teaches how to recognize and engage others who might be having thoughts of suicide and to connect them with community resources trained in suicide intervention. The ‘safe’ of safeTALK stands for ‘suicide alertness for everyone’. The ‘TALK’ letters stand for the practice actions that one does to help those with thoughts of suicide: Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe. SafeTALK stresses safety while challenging taboos that inhibit open talk about suicide. Yes Partnership is a local resource for Suicide Prevention.
