You are required to submit verification of Non-Tax Filing.

Use one of the following options to submit Non-Tax Filing documentation:

Option

Information
#1 Online Request:                                                                  
    • This is typically not available if you have NEVER filed taxes with IRS
    • If you filed taxes in prior years, go to www.irs.gov/transcript
    • Choose "Get Transcript ONLINE" (immediately), OR "Get Transcript by MAIL" (5 to 10 days)
    • Follow steps on the IRS website to complete the request
    • Select Return Transcript for the appropriate year
#2 Telephone Request:                                                                  
  • This is typically not available if you have NEVER filed taxes with IRS
  • Contact IRS at 1-800-908-9946
  • Follow prompts to enter your Social Security number and the numbers in your address
  • Select Option #2 to request an IRS Tax Return Transcript and then enter appropriate year
#3 Foreign Non-Tax Filers:
    • If you are from a foreign country that did not require you to file taxes, you must submit a confirmation of non-filing from your relevant taxing authority

 NOTE:  If you are unable to provide proof of non-filing because you do not have a Social Security Number (SSN), or an Individual Taxpayer or Employer Identification Number or live in a foreign country that is unable to provide a verification of non-filing letter, please contact the Financial Aid Office ASAP.
