Columbia College's Adult Education Program provides students with access to a variety of courses at little or no cost to assist them in reaching their personal, academic, and professional goals. 

Columbia Adult School Transition (CAST) program
  • Did you know you can earn college credits while completing your GED/high school equivalency?
  • In partnership with the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), Columbia offers a dual enrollment program for adult school students as approved by Senate Bill 554.

English Language Learners
  • Learn or improve your English language skills online.
  • Columbia College offers one course in English Language Learning: ELL701 - Multi-Level English Language Learning.
  • Columbia College offers an English Language Proficiency Certificate of Achievement. You can learn more about these courses and the certificate in the College Catalog.
General Educational Development (GED)
  • Columbia College is no longer offering GED Testing Services or GED Preparation courses.
  • We are partnering with Adult Education providers in our community to provide adult dual enrollment for those who wish to take college courses and seek their Diploma/GED.

Phlebotomy Students

  • Gain a strong foundation in the principles of phlebotomy.
  • Prepare to pass the National Phlebotomy Certification Examination.
  • 3 week course +40 hours of externship.
  • Fully sponsored program at no cost to students. Uniforms, books and supplies included.

Medical Assistant Students

  • Become a multi-skilled allied health care professional specializing in procedures commonly performed in the ambulatory health care setting.
  • 13 week course, +120 hours of externship.
  • Fully sponsored program at no cost to students.
