The Studio Art program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in the elements and principles of visual design, an understanding of traditional and contemporary materials and techniques, and an appreciation of historical and cultural contexts in the visual arts.
The curriculum includes courses in applied studio practices such as drawing, painting, watercolor, photography, and digital art, allowing students to develop a versatile creative skill set.
The program emphasizes critical visual analysis, creative problem-solving, artistic voice, portfolio development, and exhibition experience.
Members of the community are welcome to enroll in non-credit versions of select studio courses.
