Career & Job Placement Services has identified the following Student Learning Outcomes
for the various services provided in the Career & Transfer Center:
SLO #1: Career Exploration Students will be capable of comprehensively exploring career options, beginning with
self-assessment up to and including an understanding of the relationship between current
career pathways and future employment goals.
SLO #2: Skill Building Students who engage with the career center will have increased confidence in speaking
with employers, will know how to write a resume and cover letter, and will have the
opportunity to improve their interviewing skills.
The Job Placement staff has identified the following Student Learning Outcomes for
the various services provided in Job Placement Services.
SAO #1: The Job Placement Services staff will practice QUALITY basic office management
skills, practice effective use of the MS office package, conduct internet directed
research projects and improve typing speed by at least 5 wpm during the semester.
SAO #2: Students staffing the Job Placement Services desk will practice excellent
customer service, including communication and problem solving skills.
SAO #3: The Job Placement Services will process student intakes, new jobs, maintain
job listings database, provide employer contact information both online and in person
