Crystal Sinclair
Biography
My name is Crystal Sinclair. I have been teaching courses with Columbia College’s, Forestry and Natural Resources department since Fall of 2014. Courses I teach are Natural Resources Conservation, Water Infrastructure in California, Soil Resources, Natural Resources Law and Policy and have also taught California Wildlife, Forest Survey, Introduction to Water Resources Management, Ornithology, Ecological Restoration, and Spring 2024 Wildflowers.
I earned an interdisciplinary degree in Wildlife Biology and Ecology and have over a decade of experience in natural resource management. I have monitored Riparian woodrats and Brush rabbits with Endangered Species Recovery Program; CSU Stanislaus, evaluated restored Riparian habitats for River Partners, and rehabilitated wildlife for Stanislaus Wildlife Care Center.
When not teaching courses for Columbia College, I work as an Environmental Scientist with California Department of Fish and Wildlife. For over 12 years I was responsible for the Age Program, specifically Chinook salmon on the lower San Joaquin River’s Tributaries. I currently do work related to Habitat Conservation for California Endangered Species Act (CESA) species.
My off time is filled with hiking, swimming, and spending quality time with family and friends. I also love to read and travel.
The best way to contact me is by sending a message via Canvas Inbox. I am checking this Inbox twice weekly on Mondays (6:30 pm - 8:00 pm) and Wednesday (6: 30 pm - 8:00 pm) and will send all responses during those set hours.
