FREE TB Test and Flu Vaccine
The MACT Health Board Mobile Medical Unit will be on campus administering free TB tests and flu vaccines on November 4th and 6th from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 4 pm in the Oak Pavillion parking lot. Priority will be given to Healthcare and Child Development/ Future Educators but will be available to all staff and students in need of these services.

Columbia College Health & Wellness Center
Columbia College has an on-campus health and wellness center located in the Pinyon building. Students have free access to a nurse and a licensed mental health counselor. The nurse offers treatment for minor illnesses and injury, health education, tuberculosis screenings, flu vaccines, limited lab tests and other services. Columbia College does not currently have a staffed nurse or medical professional to provide these services. The mental health counselor provides confidential counseling sessions.
Our health center also offers over-the-counter medications such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, allergy medicine, cough drops, hydrocortisone cream, antacids, antibiotic ointment, and more. There is also Kleenex, hand sanitizer, period products, and more available. The office also offers information about health insurance and community resources, natural remedies, condoms and smoking cessation kits. There is also a nap room for students who need a quick rest-and-recharge in between classes. All services provided for students at the health and wellness center are free.

Medi-Cal Insurance Information
Medi-Cal provides free or low-cost health care to those who qualify. Medi-Cal helps pay for visits to the doctor, hospital care, dental care, immunizations, pregnancy-related services, prescription drugs, laboratory, rehabilitative and emergency services, and more. To qualify for Medi-Cal, participants must be income-eligible. Those whose income exceeds the limit may still qualify for reduced-cost insurance. To apply online, visit the BenefitsCal website . Applicants will hear back within 45 days, or up to 90 days if applicant has a disability.
*Update January 1, 2024: California residents who are 18 years old or older now qualify for full-scope Medi-Cal coverage, regardless of immigration status.*

For more information about Medi-Cal insurance, Calaveras County residents may call Calaveras County Health and Human Services at (209) 754-6448 or visit 509 East Saint Charles Street in San Andreas. The office is open 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
Covered California Insurance Information
Covered California is California's insurance marketplace for people who do not receive insurance benefits from another source. Visit the Covered California web page to learn more and find out what plans you are eligible for. People can apply online, in person with a certified enroller, or by phone. LiveHealth Online
LiveHealth
Online provides doctors that are available 24/7 at no cost. This service is an extension of Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal. Members can schedule a virtual visit with doctors, therapists, psychologists, or psychiatrists. This service is for non-emergency conditions. Doctors can send prescriptions to the pharmacy for you, as well.

Tuolumne County Public Health
Tuolumne County Public Health offers a variety of services to the community. Services include flu shots, TB skin tests, child immunizations, pregnancy tests, and adult immunizations. Calaveras County Public Health
Calaveras County Public Health offers a variety of services to the community. Clinic services include pregnancy tests, tuberculosis tests, vaccines, pregnancy tests, and immunizations.
