Columbia College Dream Resource Center

The mission of the Dream Resource Center at Columbia College is to support all undocumented students by increasing awareness of resources on and off campus and promoting campus engagement to assist students in reaching their goals. Center provides a safe and confidential space for students who are Dream Act, DACA, and/or undocumented.   

The Dream Resource Center includes assistance in academic counseling, legal immigration assistance and referrals, community resources, and assistance in financial aid and scholarships.  Learn more online, or call (209) 588-5130 for more information.  

County District Attorneys and Victim Services

Each county District Attorney's Office serves its community by providing support to victims of crime and to advocate for the rights of those in need. Services provided include court escort and filing of Victims of Crime Compensation Applications. Counseling services also available to victims of crime.

California Courts Online Self-Help Center

Visit the online legal  Self-Help Center  to learn more about the legal processes of such topics as criminal law, debt collection, divorce, domestic violence, eviction & housing, problems with money, small claims, and many more.   
(Each superior court also has an in-person self-help center for people inquiring about legal questions.)  

Assistance with Temporary Restraining Orders

A temporary restraining order requires another person stay at least 100 yard away from you or your children, regardless of where you are. Center for Nonviolent Community (CNVC) can assist with paperwork.  For more information, contact the CNVC at (209) 588-9305.   

ATCAA Tax Assistance

Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency (ATCAA) provides assistance with free tax preparation and e-filing to people in Amador and Tuolumne counties. For more information, visit the  ATCAA Tax Assistance web page  or call (209) 268-6232.   

Central California Legal Services

Central California Legal Services (CCLS) is a private, not-for-profit public interest law firm that provides free legal aid to low-income people, families, organizations, and communities. These services are available for those in Tuolumne, Mariposa, and Merced counties.
