Have you ever had to deal with a medical emergency? Do you feel knowledge in Emergency Medical Services is a valuable knowledge to have in today’s society? First Responders, Law Enforcement and Military personnel work on the frontlines of health care, providing time-critical support to community members who find themselves in need of medical assistance. Columbia College’s Emergency Medical Services program is dynamically designed to train in a progressive and on point manner to prepare its students for the stressors of this lifestyle career. The EMS courses are a semester long, from introductory course designed for lay persons interested in, or for professionals who require First Responder training per State of California (Title 22) and U.S. Department of Transportation standards. The class will teach the basic pre-hospital care skills needed to render care at the scene of an emergency until more highly trained emergency medical response personnel arrive.
