The goal of this award is to prepare students for an entry-level position in accounting or full charge bookkeeper. It has the objectives for students to learn the accounting cycle, preparation of financial statements, federal payroll laws and related accounting, fundamentals of the income tax system and tax preparation, and business law. The skills learned in successfully completing this degree are those valued and recognized in the business community.
