The Studio Arts program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in visual design elements and principals, common materials and techniques, and with a historical and cultural context. We offer classes in applied art such as drawing, painting, watercolor and photography as well as digital art for our students to have a well-rounded experience. The degree also seeks to promote critical visual thinking, problem solving and evaluation, and nurture creative independence. Additionally, community members are invited to participate in our art courses in their non-credit version, which allows our students to have wider exposure to the local art community.
