Foundation President's Message
The Columbia College Foundation now offers mini-grants that support its mission “to promote student success by providing community resources that support and expand educational opportunities for Columbia College's students.” Applications are reviewed by a Subcommittee of the Foundation Board of Directors.
The Mini-grant Guidelines and Application Form is available here. The Fall 2013 deadline to apply is October 24, 2013.

The following projects will receive funding in the Fall 2012 cycle:
Columbia College Speech & Debate Team – participate in two Forensics competitions: $1,000
Guest lecturer/Inspirational Speaker, Pam Houston, UC Davis Creative Writing: $1,200
Online registration software for Community Education: $4,000
Fire Academy – PPE, visual aids, field trips to K-12 schools, events, training props: $3,000
Child Development Club – student memberships in NAEYC: $500
Professional Development Institute: $3,800
Columbia College Choir 2013 Spring Tour: $1,000
Portable white boards for library: $460
Total Awards: $14,960
The following projects received funding in the Spring 2012 cycle:
Total Awards: $7,850
Fall 2011 Mini-Grants Awards
The Foundation received 16 applications in Fall 2011 totaling $16,658.85. The following projects will receive funding in the Fall 2011 cycle:
Total Awards: $5,908.85
Thank you to everyone who applied for a mini-grant. Although we were not able to fund all of the proposals, the next cycle of mini-grants will be held in Spring 2012.
